Welcome to Genesis Vacuum Technologies

The heart of a Genesis cryopump consists of a two-stage closed loop helium refrigerator, or cold head, that utilizes the Gifford-McMahon thermodynamic cycle to achieve cryogenic temperatures as low as 8 K. In addition to cryopumping, the cold head itself has numerous applications in the laboratory cryocooler market and provides the advantage of not requiring liquid nitrogen or helium.

Genesis offers several different two-stage and single-stage cold head sizes. General performance specifications are as follows:

Two-Stage Coldheads

2:10 Cold head
1st Stage refrigeration power: 10 Watts at 77 K
2nd Stage refrigeration power: 2 Watts at 20 K

3:13 Cold head
1st Stage refrigeration power: 13 Watts at 77 K
2nd Stage refrigeration power: 3 Watts at 20 K

5:35 Cold head
1st Stage refrigeration power: 35 Watts at 77 K
2nd Stage refrigeration power: 5 Watts at 20 K

Single-Stage Cold heads
18W Cold head: 18 Watts at 77 K
55W Cold head: 55 Watts at 77 K

Genesis will provide engineering solutions for virtually any interface requirements to meet customer demands for specific cold head applications.
